However, as with the Ocean 1, there’s a bit of a problem with the bracelet – but not the one mentioned here.
The O1V is the first Steinhart watch to make use of their new "ST.5" movement, which is based on ETA's 2824-2 (or clones there of). Steinhart's done a great job decorating the platine and rotor. Another nice feature of the movement is the [inherited] hacking seconds feature.

Recently, Steinhart has released a limited "Steinhart Ocean 39 Vintage GMT Boutique Edition", a reminiscence of the famous Rolex Explorer II Ref. 1655. While the standard model of the Vintage GMT has a diameter of 42 mm, the LE measures 39 mm. This is my first and only Steinhart watch, and is an obvious homage to the early 70’s Rolex 1655 “Steve McQueen”. I have a similar cheapie watch from Tiger Concepts that uses a Chinese movement, and a case that more closely resembles the original, but with faux vintage lume and no magnifier.
