I haven’t read the comics or played many of the games just watched the movies, but anywho I was wondering because I looked up how far LV426 was from earth and it was apparently 39 .The only one I remember is a comic or novel that mentioned how far apart a system is from Earth. And it's supposedly on the fringe of known space but is only a few hundred light-years away. . The most significant difference between LV-223 and LV-426 is that LV-223 has an almost Earth-like atmosphere, while LV-426 is a barren wasteland when the crews find it. .
LV-426 is in the Zeta 2 Reticuli system, which is (depending on what you read) 37-39 light years from Earth. And this was about half way home from Thedus.
